| Anyone have this cd?
I just bought it for 99 cents on Ebay. New, no less.
Was it money well spent? _________________ I'm flyin' on a red hot weenie, I'm ridin' on a big hot dog It's a thang that's slick and greasy, it's a thang that's big and long I'll stick it deep inside, yeah I'll stick it deep inside... CUZ I'M LOOSE!!! |

Well hell...that didn't sound so promising.
But for the money, what the hell. At worst case it's a collectible for us Asheton fans. _________________ I'm flyin' on a red hot weenie, I'm ridin' on a big hot dog It's a thang that's slick and greasy, it's a thang that's big and long I'll stick it deep inside, yeah I'll stick it deep inside... Take a look at The New Race albums if you want to hear more Asheton stuff. |

| I got that and its not entirely clear how much is Ron. I think he is mostly playing on some live tunes under the "Flunkie" section. Still its ok Detroit/A2 rock , and has a version of the Mike Davis tune "Rock the Cradle".
The Dark Carnival CD "The Last Great Ride" on Sympathy for the Record Industry is one of the better post Stooges Asheton recordings and Don Fleming managed to get a decent vocal performance out of Niagara. |

| I got the disc, and it isn't bad. Not a mindblower like the Stooges, but not bad nonetheless. Well worth the dollar. _________________ I'm flyin' on a red hot weenie, I'm ridin' on a big hot dog It's a thang that's slick and greasy, it's a thang that's big and long I'll stick it deep inside, yeah I'll stick it deep inside... Ron is on all of the live set, but only on maybe 4 of the studio tracks- Down On The Street, obviously... Most of the lead guitar on the studio tracks was a guy from Ypsilanti (Craig something??) who has apparently disappeared since then. Truth be told, there is some good guitar on the record but overall it's pretty lame. |
