The Stooges Rotterdam WATT 2 Sept. 2008 bounce

sold out app. 1400 people - start playing 20.30 end app. 22.00 o'clock

2 encores 'Trollin' and 'Electric Chair', they had planned 3 more encores ..didn't play it..and Dirt wasn't played Sad

HERE Ron's set list I got:

People this was the best the very best you can get from The Stooges nowadays!!!! small venue..no other bands.

Ron played this black Fender. He looked tired to me…though had a good grin on his face … think he really enjoyed it .. standing up to a few feet in front of him..yelling and screaming his, Scotty's and Mike's name. ..the sound was bad on that spot..probably heard almost the same poor sound as they did on stage. So can't tell much about the quality of the guitar playing and the other instruments. The bass I even couldn't hear AT ALL. like Iggy; "Mike?.... The bass???!!!!"…. then Mike pounded/slammed rough on his bass to let him hear he's there…ah..poor sound. Mike played like a beast!! As always.. And like Ron, Scotty and Steve….so very concentrated..Ron hid behind the Marshall stacks during the stage invasion..not to be bothered. Scotty played a borrowed drum set..slammed it … his heart out!! Steve's sax as always SOO WELCOME.. funny to see him with the tambourine...clearly and lightened out next to Ron.

It's 1969, Dog and TVEye > the crowd gets the point... but with Search and I Got A Right the crowd got seriously crazywildnuts.

All of you had to be there!!!!!! In this amazing small venue…. The crowd standing up to the stage!! I was holding Iggy's feet for several times!! And tried to tear his jeans down…hey…he let it drop to his pubic hair!..so yeah..we got loose… one of the roadies yelled at me to stop with that…hahahaha… Got onto the stage in a split second.. followed by maybe 80 or more people during Real Cool time and No Fun….No fucking security in front of us or directing us..... the fans could be with them completely totally..at least..the first 4 rows. Iggy did 2x a stage dive…Jos dived after him!...hahaha…the crowd invited him to dive..helding their hands up already.. Yeah rough it was….in the first rows…ofcoarse! Screaming..jumping..pushing..pogoin..singing..clapping.. giving as much energy as The Stooges gave us… I'm fucking exhausted!! How does the guy do it!!!!
Iggy was giving hands and his mic several times..really WITH the crowd…GOD I LOVE THIS!!!!! Hejhej and I got some big big smiles and a crawl through my hair..haha..like he was sayin "hey you little wild one" Like a Star @ heaven

They gave 2 encore's - see setlist - like you can see..there probably were plans to play more .. the crowd screamed their lungs out for more than 5 minutes to get the first encore.. after that the crowd kept screaming..although less people… for more than 10 minutes..but they didn't came back.

after the gig i jumped on the stage and stried to rip off the setlist…wow… a nasty angry crew member hollered and directed me to FUCKING GET OF that stage immediately. Lucky me; later on a security guy took the taped setlist and gave it to me! Hejhej!! What a Face

But I shouldn't have waited..cuz..Iggy left immediately the building.. they say…he WALKED to his hotel a couple blocks away…damn it…I MISSED him and Ron and Scotty..damn it!! Though Mike was still there and signed the dirty setlist..as you can see… we had a small funny chat.. great guy!!

Sounds sweeeeet! I love to see them by themselves rather than festivals - no 'other band fans' diluting the atmosphere. Cool you got the setlist, shame you didn't get Iggy's trousers!

cuz i saw everything almost every movement/act was precise..not to hurt anybody for example..
hej and you mean the older grey haired guy..think his name is Jos isn't it? he was pretty nasty, protecting Iggy and pushing people from the stage.... it was like the crew had their minds on 'FESTIVAL' mode. cuz he was not the only one from the crew being nasty...maybe behind the scene it started not so relaxed(??)..you never know! ... the hall opened for the first time...sound problems and stuff (?) the Dutch got pretty enthusiastic..but i think they were fine and easy going. so the crew guy's could've been more chill towards the fan's...to my opinion.

yeah i saw 2 pick's..than forgot..and somebody else took them.

Yeah Jos is cool. But don't get in his way up there.. he rammed a guy and knocked him (flying) right into the Pit at the NYC show !!

I don't like people standing at the front. We were checking the concert from the balcony, great view, and lovely space to dance with my wife. It's so much better to listen and watch The Stooges without jumping around.

why don't you like the people at the front Lucas? cuz they r eager to be near to the band? You don't want to join the high energy here? wow

concerning the people in front row, for example; behind me was a blind man standing with his veryvery young daughter and around me lot of nice girls..mixed with some older guys. to my experience..it's not the people in the front row who r annoying..it's the people after the 5th row who r makin the mess..throwing beer..stuff like that..dunno..think they'r frustrated cuz they were not in time and can't stand front row so they start pushing to get in front! but this was not a festival with bored fan's from other bands...here we had in front rows; 100% Stooges fans..hej...I like these people!!!
