The announcement of a new Stooges era woke up my longing to experience it again: The Stooges Stage Invasion.

It's one of the lifetime unforgettable things happening during a Stooges concert Bow Down
To honour The Stooges Stage Invasion... ha
Here the most massive uncontrolable Stooges stage invasion ever happened (as far as I'm informed):

My best memory of the Stooges stage invasion was during the July 3 2007 “Palais des Sports” gig in Paris. I succeeded in going on the stage, with my husband-to-be, during “Real Cool Time”, and we were bout 50 on stage. It was a very tense moment because everyone wanted to approach Iggy. Quickly, I was separated from my husband-to-be, but I managed to come near Iggy, and he took my hand for a minute while he was singing “No Fun”. It was so great, I couldn’t believe it !!! But this magic moment has a bad end… I don’t really know how it happened, I suppose the people behind pushed forward, and the shock sent me hurtling to the man who was protecting Iggy and finally I had a breastbone fracture….3 weeks before my wedding. I can tell you that it was really, really painful. I had a sick leave for a month. But no regret at all, now it is a great memory when I think about it ! I will remember this gig forever Smile Unfortunately I didn't found a video of the gig...

woowieee Marines, so Iggy hold your hand in stead of your husband to be .. cool story.. i like these Cool
hejhej it's good you had your private interview with Iggy this year
maybe a small consolation for that stage injury Wink

Btw that was Jos.. who injured you.. he's a mean bastard on stage.
If you come too near to Iggy.. he's like a Hulk. Protecting Iggy with the purest aggression.
Guess in the USA he would get sued for what he did to you.
I got a blue rib and stomach from Jos his punch.. i didn't do anything!!
ah.. anyway it was worth it.. cuz a second after that Iggy crawled through my hair. What a Face

Here is that Palais Des Sports 2007 stage invasion you were talking about:

My friend my dad and I got onstage at the Leeds Harewood House gig.
I knew this was a common occurance at stooges gigs so i was ready to get on stage haha.
I was on the front row and because everyone was pushing / crowdsurfing it was so hard to get over the barrier but eventually we managed it.
Once i got over i ran to Iggy who was sat on the edge of the stage singing, i didn't know what to do, he was sat looking down at me, i hugged his legs (i don't know why) and ran back to get my friend.
We then ran and got onstage somehow even though security were dragging everyone off by their legs.
Once onstage it was impossible to get to Iggy so i went and jumped and danced around Ron who was just laughing then went and hugged Mike.
I tried to meet Scott but about 4 security guards stopped me, i noticed a guy reach his hand through the drum kit and shake Scotts hand once the song had finished, i think Iggy ran to the back of the stage so 3 security guards followed him for protection.
The one left next to Scott wasn't intimidating so i begged him just to let me past, he wouldn't, so i asked again but before he could answer i just ran past him to Scott.
I shook Scotts hand and said something to him (i dont have a clue what), probably the stooges are my favourite band or something, and the guard let me do this once he realised i wasn't going to mob him or something.
Scott was very nice and gentlemanly (is that a word?) and then i left the stage with all the crowd

I lost my dad when we all first got onstage but he said when he was going offstage he saw Iggy on his own without security at the back of the stage so ran up and shook his hand then left (jealous)

At the Get Loaded in the Park gig i tried to get onstage but it was just too hard to get over the barrier due to the crowd crush on the front row

Everyone has to be involved in a stooges stage invasion! So Fun!
Very Happy

GREAT story Emma!!

After my first stage invasion I promised myself to stay focussed only on Iggy.. whatever would happen.
cuz before you know.. you're squeezed away. Ron, Scotty and Mike stayed mostly focussed on the playing
so hardly possible to be in contact with them.
ha.. but you managed Emma! cool.

What amazed me mostly is to see Iggy finding his way through that crowd always staying comfortable and cool, laughing,
having real contact with the people, controling the crowd.. and.... still kept singing!
I tried to sing while jumping around.. it's practically not possible.

I put your link directly here:

So, Zinzin you met Jos too Wink As you, I didn't do anything, and as you say it was worth it !
The funny side is that the day before the gig, I met Iggy at a french radio where he was promoting "the Weirdness", and I asked him a picture with him. As fate would have it, it was Jos who took the picture of us...After this gig, my husband forbade me to go on stage again with the Stooges...too dangerous...but I have to admit that I was also afraid.

But what experience ! I went 2 times on stage and it was a so great moment !
Thanks for the link, you can see me at the end of the video, from 20 seconds to the end, I'm the little woman with tied back hair, behind the tall guy on the left, but the video ends just when Iggy holds his hand out to me... Sad
