MT: Yeah. When I saw [Todd Haynes'] Velvet Goldmine, I thought, "Well, the true stories of Iggy and David Bowie are much more interesting than this fictionalized fantasy is."

Iggy: I never saw it. Doesn't some guy snort coke off my ass in that? That's what I heard. "No, I don't think I'll be going to this movie," you know? [laughs]

Funny stuff

finally a really good interview, it seems the interviewer was reading
this forum and put the questions with "our" concerns in mind.

Great interview. Detroiters have a natural feel and mucho context for the subject matter.

Good to hear that Tek was a contender. I've always loved the Birdman and various offshoots. He would've done a fine job.

'New Orleans' would be awesome, but I'm really hoping for 'Johanna'.

Great interview.
Some fantastic information in that, especially from Iggy.
Nice mentions of Ron.
One thing, Iggy mentioned that Ron and Scott's jams were very long and that he's working on something with thme.
All well and good, but what are the chances of hearing them in their entirety...uncut?
One can only but wish...

I agree....never really liked Ron's post Stooges bands...
( Destroy All Monsters or Dark Carnival, Never liked Niagara's voice that much) , but I love the stuff Iggy did with James after the Stooges broke up (Kill City, New Values )

Very good interview - one of the best Stooges-related interviews I've come across.

Yup I'd really, really like to hear those long Ron and Scott jams without vocals

Thank you for the link.

I don't care about ron's stuff. I just wanna some new material with James on guitar and hear "Your pretty face is going to hell" on live !

Them's fighting words, pal. Step up and we'll go a few rounds

Now, now give the kid a break. He probably just recently discovered the Stooges and knows not of what he speaks. He is the future and us old ones must bestow upon him our knowledge and reverence of and for all that is Stooges in order to continue the Church of Stooges.

I agree. However, it is MORE likely someone is just trying to start a shitstorm! lol

Anybody who claims they don't like Ron's post Stooges stuff needs to listen to some Wylde Ratttz stuff fast.

Was the Wylde Ratttz stuff ever officially released and if so, does anyone know where it can be obtained?

Nope it's not even on any CD bootlegs. I've only heard of a promo mentioned once by someone. So sadly we're stuck with having to download it.

That really sucks. Thanks for the info. I am a fan of all the people involved in that project and really like the CD. If anyone knows of a FLAC version for download somewhere out there, PLEASE post the link.
