Anyone here buy this version? I haven't but someone on the Steve Hoffman forum (http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=202702) says they did and it uses different takes to make up the album. Just wanted to verify this, or if it's just in their head.

It's on the way to me now along with the 1st album. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

Haven't done any comparisons yet, but I'd imagine they're the 2005 remasters. Will have a good listen over the weekend.

Is this the only version of the CD with this packaging? I just ordered a copy of the Fun House SHM-CD last night, but, minus the OBI, mc's pic looks exactly like a copy that I already have. If it's the same version, then the takes are the same as on the original version of the record.

Rubber Legs so do you have the Rhino gatefold replica CD? I'll be interested to hear how the packaging compares to the Japanese SHM version, as well as the sound.

Yes, upon further investigation, it's the Rhino one that I already own. I haven't seen the SHM-CD version in person (yet), but based on your picture it looks identical. I'll have to wait to receive the SHM-CD version to do a sound comparison. The Rhino one was only $9.00, though, so if anyone is just interested in the cool packaging, that's the way to go. I bought it as a copy to keep in the car. It's ridiculous how many copies of this record I have owned (currently: 2 versions on vinyl, the Complete Sessions and the Rhino replica, with the SHM version on the way...).
