| Man, they're releasing this stuff with an eyedropper. Just bought 75% of this release a few years back on the 'deluxe' re-release of The Stooges. Still ... Asthma Attack! |

| When did this info come out? I'm supposed to be on their email list but all I get is news about Chicago albums in Quadrophonic and Jan & Dean reissues! |

| The Stooges must have taken a page out of MORRISSEY's guide to reissuing. |

I foresee another deluxe reissue of Funhouse with that show as the second disc, and yet even more tracks that didn't make the Complete Sessions box.
For anyone who complains about buying the same tracks twice (or multiple times), just thank god you're not one of the collectors who must have every pressing of every album . . . you are a social god compared to them. |

i mean, i NEED this one that's going out 'cos when the 2 cd's edition came out i really didn't dig the stooges that much, but when i began to like them a lot the double cd was almost immposible to get and the one's you could find were too expensive, so now i feel like
"now's the time! get one of those NOW" |

| I think it might have been better for them to just release Asthma Attack as an iTunes download or something, instead of repackaging the whole album again. But I'm sure I'll end up buying it anyways |

| Rhino just want to get double cd, "Collectors Edition", money out of everyone for a handful of new tracks. They had the remaining Cale tracks when the last Rhino double cd was released, and if I understand it correctly, Asthma Attack as well.
It's an internet only release, so it's not like they have to convince a store to carry it. Wipe off the first album tracks, and let's face it, 99% of people ordering the Rhino Handmade release undoubtedly already have the other Rhino issue, and maybe you could have fitted Ungano's onto it. If not, I'm sure removing some of the other tracks already freely available in your local HMV/Tower/whatever would have freed up the required space.
But then, if they'd done that, how could they turn around in a few months and sell you Ungano's at full price too?
Credit where it's due, at least the person who writes Rhino's press releases has a sense of humour ...

| Does anyone know how long Asthma Attack actually is? is it like a 3 minute song or a 10 minute jam deal? |

Ditto.
It is a little irritating that they are releasing a lot of the same stuff again. However, Iggy and the boys made so little on these albums when they were first released I don't mind so much paying for the same stuff a couple of times as long as the band are getting their fair share of the profits from it. |

| The original Rhino releases were amazing bargains at £4.98 with free delivery from Amazon, so I can't say I feel too ripped off by this.
On top of Asthma Attack, I'm looking forward to hearing the 2 new versions of We Will Fall. By the way Robert (or anyone else) does Asthma Attack have any lyrics, and is it a 1st Album outtake or was it a demo recorded earlier? |

Really? You have 5 takes of Little Doll, an alt take of Real Cool Time and the Cale mixes of We Will Fall and Ann? |

| hmm, i gotta admit the 7x7 format will sit nicely next to the new Raw Power Deluxe. but really as much as i love the velvets, Cale's mixes didnt do anything for me. i really like Ig's vocals on the long version of Ann tho. theyre clean, no reverb/whatever. i think i'll be giving it a miss.
I still keep thinkin that if these takes weren't good enuf to put out originally why do we need to here them? (obviously stooges fans are mega-obsessive n would buy an album of iggy farting into a mike for half an hour if they could! HAHAAHA ) asthma attack i can understand fan's want to hear tho. holy grail n all. is this a real song or one of those noise experiments? blenders, tap shoes on metal n oil drums??? i love the stooges but i dunno if i love them THAT much. |

| Asthma Attack is 6:38 and interesting in that it is one of their earliest songs performed onstage, that and Dance Of Romance which as you might know turned into Ann.
There are a few other things on CD2 that are unreleased, the multi takes of Little Doll for starters. |
