I was sent this show at the weekend and i must say Steve MacKay is on form here love the sleazy sax sound. Bloody great show, this is not a Stooges karaoke show this is the Stooges 2010 and Im glad the Mrs Mills piano doesnt feature, can't get enough

The bass of Mike Watt in Open Up And Bleed is excellent !! Very good work in that song !

the best song of the show for me , the way the ig sing it is so good
I Need Somebody was pretty great too. Like I said, the Stooges are far better on the slower song, where James Williamson can play with feeling. I really hope with a little more exercice, he will be hable to give the same toutch on the faster tunes.

Fun House is really something else here...absolutely wild! Ron would be pleased. Scott and Mike are absolutely locked on, Iggy is is great form, James just keeps a tight rhythm and lets Steve blow that sax. Fiery!!

The sax really works on some tracks, obviously 1970, Fun House and Johanna and even Open Up And Bleed. It sounds wrong on the Raw Power tracks. I don't understand why Steve is playing the whole gig now when he used to turn up about half way through.

To me, it's the tightest they have sounded with James...so far. He seems to finally be comfortable playing. Imagine if Ron were still with us and playing duel guitar. Then add Scott T. to the mix and you have the most incredible tour of all time.

If the sax becomes a little too loud on some tracks, here's a tip. Listen only to the right channel, it's almost all guitar and it sounds fantastic!!

OK I have crap will power and was unable just to wait for the Hammersmith download.

this is truly great!
I agree with everything u guys are saying. Open up... is fantastic. probably the best version I've heard.
Yup sax is a little to far up there in the mix but i'll take that over the 'plinky' piano all the same. And ya know guys if u wanna listen to Raw Power without sax there are a million other versions to chose from. Good on the stooges I say, for trying these songs in a new way.
and also for not just stickin to the Brazil setlist. Lots of possibilities now for the other shows.

but please do I'm Sick of You in London!!!!!

This band are tight as f***!

Some of the Lille show is on yt, here's the opener Raw Power http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLo_Ip_WSLA&feature=related with Ig nearly having a face plant near the 2 min. mark. Sounds pretty ok, looking forward to getting the dload.
Funny and smart, when it's stage time for the crowd James now digs behind his amps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnZDWCJt-Qw&feature=channel Plus Ig does a dive during Dog.

I can read "Dead Confederate". Google tells me it's a rock band, and the print on his shirt looks like their logo.

I was at this show in Lille ! And I also bought the USB stick after the concert.
The sound is excellent ! One of the best show I ever see in my life ! It is a great souvenir to hear it again and again thanks to this recording.
OK, the guitar might have been mixed better to be louder, but for me it's a detail. And the sax is great with all the songs. It's cool to see Steve all along the show. I love these 2010 versions of Stooges tunes.
