Possibly interesting DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Sacred-Triangle-Bowie-Iggy-Lou-1971-1973/dp/B003Z8ZC7K

"By 1971 David Bowie was branded a one-hit-wonder, Lou Reed was considered washed up following a disastrous debut and Iggy Pop was seen as merely a drug crazed ex-Stooge. But a meeting of minds in that year's closing months was the catalyst for an extraordinary turnaround for these three musical geniuses, resulting in the most dramatic shift of musical style since the dawn of the rock age. This fascinating film investigates the era in which these brilliant personalities worked most closely together. With the story told by those who were there at the time and via rare and classic film footage, plus recently discovered archive, this programme reveals a time of incredible creativity and a sublime chain of events that changed music forever. Includes exclusive contributions from David's ex-wife Angie Bowie; Andy Warhol's Factory assistant Billy Name; MainMan Management vice president, Leee Black Childers; New York scenester Jayne [née Wayne] County and many others from the era."

seen one on ebay so I guess it's already out, anyone viewed it?

This is probably allied with the "Your Pretty Face is Going To Hell" book by the author who tried to write a biography of Tony Defries called "Gods and Gangsters," something unknown changed his focus and he turned it into the aforementioned book. One can therefore ascertain the slant of its perspective; i.e., one might not get the most accurate interpretation via the individuals who threw the STooges out of their rental house without warning and into the street while confiscating their instruments.

It might be amusing to hear what the ex-Mrs. Bowie has to say, as she has been relatively kind to the Stooges throughout her own memoirs. (And see how close the actress Toni Collette came to capturing her.)

I never knew Your Pretty Face came out in lieu of Gods and Gangsters, I thought Gods and Gangsters was going to be an autobiography - I was still waiting for it!

Anyway what's the Iggy/Stooges section like in Your Pretty face then?

All google-able info. There were personal reasons involved for my research... The author is quite a prolific writer, and I'm sure he wanted to funnel his Defries material into a project that could be published in another form, like any professional would. Perhaps the doc is a reward to him of sorts for playing nice.

Lou worked closely with Iggy? I don't think so.

Is the picture at 1:11 of Iggy covered in glitter new? I've never seen it in color before.

"I really don't think there was anyone in London, or all of America, who wasn't aware of The Velvet Underground". I hope that's qualified by something she says before or after it, or else Angie really was living in a bubble.
