I gotta try to scan my Iggy photo spread from Creem in 1973. It's the one where he's wearing a bow tie and jackboots (and nothing else), holding a copy of Raw Power and stomping on discs.

JLTS: Just in case you don't know, that Crawdaddy mag is rare as f**k and is a serious collectors item. You won't find one for under $100.00, that's for sure! Just so you know why there's nobody who has a spare one for you... :-) The Creem mag though is not that impossible to find and you could get one on ebay for maybe $25.00 to $50.00....

Comaman - Yes I know.

I have started collecting magazines. I saw a crawdaddy once.. went for about 100 (pretty good price for it actually)

But I have some I like WAY more. All with Iggy on the cover !

Creem June 1970, Creem December 1970, Creem 1973(record breaking one), Changes 1970 (Very rare NY mag. with tons of Ungano's pics got it for $130), Entertainment World May 1970 (Very Very rare, iggy Fillmore 70 pics all over in it and on cover, got it for $125), Sounds 1972, Zeppelin 1974

Those are my early rare ones. Smile

I can post a pic of the cover's of them if you'd like ?

You got a real nice collection there. Tell me, are you really only 16 years old? And has an expensive Iggy magazine collection like that? You gotta be one in a million if that's the case! I'm impressed! W

The older ones with Iggy covers that I have are Entertainment World 1970, Beetle 1973 and Creem 1974. I also have a cool article from an issue of After Dark 1973 thats 3 or 4 pages with pics and interview...

Maybe I will take some photos of Iggy stuff and post here when I get the time...

Are those yours or your dads or both?

I just wouldn't spend that much money on a magazine. I'd much rather spend it on vinyl.

Well, homesick, I didn't just jump on any the collector scene... I've enjoyed collecting a bit of this and that with Iggy since around 1979... It's not such a big deal anymore, everything turns up on ebay these days... But I might have some oddities in my posession that you seldom see, so... Way back then you almost had to turn the whole country upside down to find one single poster of Iggy. In those days it was much tougher to collect and a much bigger challenge too...

I will probably not have time this week to post anything since I'll be away most of the week from tomorrow. Will do when I'm back and time allows me...

Where is Zepplin magazine out of. I believe it was out of the Akron, Ohio area and am fairly sure the Stooges played in Akron on their final tour. Any mention of a gig in that mag? Very interesting collection. Changes looks great also.

One more quick question?
Is there a gig date pointed towards for Akron. It has to be around their Cleveland date. That would make sense, but then again considering how they toured at the time it could be any date?

No problem Funhousehideaway#2 !

Let me know what ya find out about the show Smile

It gives a review in the mag about it... but it's total goof ! The writer say's crap like "Iggy go pop ! And Iggy Bop, He rock the beat and jump around"

And the article really makes no sense ?

But it's a rare mag, and nice to have (the pictures are nice too )

Cheers !
