It looks like there are going to be some iggy shows this year. What should he play to make you happy?

For me:

Dum Dum Boys
Kill City
Five foot one
The endless sea
Some weird sin
Dog food
Run like a Villain
Eat or be eaten
Cry for love
Cold metal
Hate
Mixin' the colours
Highway song
I won't crap out
Main street eyes
Neon forrest
Espanol
Corruption
Mask
Blood on your cool
Nervous exhaustion
Whatever
Spanish coast

Good list Lucas, nice choices.

I'd settle for

Dum Dum Boys
Tiny Girls
Endless Sea
Ordinary Bummer
Mass Production
Watching The News
The Departed
and a 55 minute Louie Louie

I don't know Watching the news and The Departed. Are these officially released?

"Watching The News" is the loopy sort of spoken word thing on Zombie Birdhouse (which is actually rather good fun if you're in the right mood) and "The Departed" is the final track on Ready To Die.

I'm not bothered which songs Iggy chooses to play live this year - I just hope he doesn't rely too heavily on Stooges tunes. He's plenty of excellent solo tracks that haven't been played for years and years.

Thank you. I know the two songs, just didn't think of stooges songs on this topic (in my ideal setlist for solo Iggy there are no stooges songs).

@Woody; Great songs too. Maybe he should skip the festivals and play like in the old days (although I think Iggy never did that) two times on one day; an early- and late show. With of course two different setlists. Ah well, ain't gonna happen.

Quote :
Iggy Pop zal spelen op de 11de juli en zal een mix brengen van The Stooges en nummers uit zijn solocarričre. Een dagticket kost 60 euro, een combi voor vier dagen 120 euro.

From the news of the gig of iggy in Liege. For those of you that don't understand Dutch, it says that Iggy will play a mix of songs from the Stooges and his solo albums.

Yes, I would imagine the set list being very similar to when Iggy warmed up the Pretenders in 1987. Kevin Armstrong & Seamus Beaghen were in that band also, for those who didn't know. Not the heaviest of bands then and most certainly not now. Here's a typical set list from '87:

1. I Got A Right
2. Gimme Danger
3. Some Weird Sin
4. Winners & Loosers
5. Real Wild Child
6. Shades
7. TV Eye
8. Blah Blah Blah
9. China Girl
10. 5’1
11. Raw Power

Just a blind dream (my dream is dead):

1. Et Si Tu N'Existais Pas
2. Raw Power
3. Easy Rider
4. Dirt
5. Burn
6. No Fun
7. Platonic (better than Gimme Danger)
8. Kill City
9. 1969
10. Isolation
11. Neon Forest
12. Lust For Life
13. Wild America
14. Till Wrong Feels Right (acoustic set)
15. Social Life (acoustic set)
16. Avenue B (acoustic set) >>
17. TV Eye
18. Nightclubbing
19. Real Wild Child (Wild One)
20. Real Cool Time

That's how I imagine that.
