Great to read that review. Thanks very much.
If I'm reading it right the reviewer implies that there is a lead guitarist and a 'fuzz guitarist'. He talks of the lead guitarist being galvanised by his solo and the other guitarist also coaxing fedback from the speakers. Surely he must be referring to Ron on bass?

I wonder, from the description, if the last number was "I'm Sick Of You" - it's the only song from this pre Raw Power period that could conceivably contain a Hendrix-like solo. (Arguably an extended "I Got A Right" might fit the bill too).

Cheers,

Richard

I think 'Do You Want My Love' or some variation on it might be the last 'selection' the writer is refering to. None of the band seem to remember anything about the '71 or the King's Cross set-list but consistently refer to 'bringing over the material we had been playing in '71' when asked about it.

My guess at the set list would be;

I Got a Right
Fresh Rag
I'm Hungry
Scene of the Crime
The Shadow of Your Smile
Im Sick of You
Gimme Some Skin
Do You Want My Love

Give or take a few of these with maybe 'You Dont Want My Name' or 'Big Time Bum'. If only there was a tape .....

I am surprised that Mick Rock, with all his incredible talent from his first pro forays did not get the shot described as guitar held aloft overhead. Also, would anyone else suspect that a vamping "feed me, I'm hungry" throughout a song might be the Penetration forerunner with the food/sex metaphor?

Hello Stoogers,have just registered today.Discovered them through cryptic pix of 'Iggy' in Rolling Stone mag and making the connection with the 'Iggy Stooge' on a pair of sale rack (Elektra) albums in 1971.I'm interested in hearing from anyone else who attended the 15/7/72 show...a show like nothing else I've ever seen.

Hi Pete, I don't think we've had anyone on the board who was at the Kings Cross show. If you were there we'd love to hear all your memories.
