i like it alot actually, amean like any photo book you wont look at it everyday, well i spose that depends, but i lke having it, and keep in mind i bought it for 20 when it came out - cos im an idiot, lol

theres been talk about this in another thread, someone said they found it for 5 new in HMV (UKs biggest chain of music/movies etc shops) and i saw the original version in a second hand bookstore for like 10, which i dunno i kinda wish i'd bought for posterity, but i didnt cos i already had it

short answer, i dunno its like anythin it depends on you, but i like having it, some great photos - you'll be surprised how many great shots there are considering the gig was only like 40mins long lol

but if you can get it for the 5 someone said they saw it for, defintily and if its like 10 - 20 - its up to you i guess

hope i helped

I wrote customer rewiew on amazon before 8 years Smile

Where The Stooges disappeard 1972?, 28 Jul 2000

In March 1972, Iggy and James, both completely off heroin, went on England to recruit a new band and start recording the album for CBS. In June joined Ron and Scott Asheton, and together worked on the new recordings until September same year. During their stay in London, The Stooges played only one concert in the King's Cross Cinema. Iggy was dressed only in silver lame trousers and had silver hair, black boots and black lipstick; his show and his mistreatment of audience had schocked all present. It was to be their only show outside America. This book is photographic report from this show, a few photo sessions of the whole band, also contains common photos with David Bowie and Lou Reed, captured on camera by legendary rock photographer, Mick Rock. The book also contains his introduction and interview between virtuoso with camera, Mick Rock and rock monster, Iggy Pop conducted in 1972. If you like album cover of "Raw Power" , this book is made for you. Since there is no audio or video recording from any of The Stooges concert in 1972, this book offers unique experience for the band admirers. Raw Power! Look for the answer from the title in the book.

Great book! Has one of my favorite "WTF??" photos ever: Iggy, Bowie, and Lou Reed posing for a picture at a party (as if that isn't mind-blowing enough, Iggy also happens to be wearing a T-Rex tee). Good times.

OK it arrived today. I got the newer edition. My favourite photo is the one to the right of the famous backbend one (I believe its page 107). It truly is amazing.
